What is Oltram?
Ol tram is a pain medication containing loom g tramadol hydrochloride, it is a prescription drug used to treat moderate to severe pain.
Ol tram may also be used as part of a combination therapy meaning that you may need to take it with other medications.
Ol tram comes in loom g and 50mg packs.
Tramadol is a controlled substance in many countries which means it can only be used with a doctor’s close supervision.
In 2018, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) flagged Oltram marketed by Tramadol Hub because there were no approved drug applications pursuant to section 505 of the FD&C Act in effect for the “OL-TRAM”offered by TramadolHub in the US at that time.
How does Ol tram work?
Tramadol belongs to a class of drugs called opioid agonists.
A class of drugs is a group of medications that work in a similar way.
These drugs are often used to treat similar conditions. Tramadol works by changing how your brain senses pain.
Tramadol is similar to substances in your brain called endorphins. Endorphins bind to receptors (parts of cells that receive a certain substance).
The receptors then decrease the pain messages that your body sends to your brain. Tramadol works in a similar way to decrease the amount of pain your brain thinks you’re having.
How to use Ol tram
Read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start taking tramadol and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain relief. You may take this drug with or without food.
If you have nausea, it may help to take this drug with food.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist about other ways to decrease nausea (such as lying dowm for 1to 2 hours with as little head movement as possible).
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
To reduce your risk of side effects, your doctor may direct you to start this medication at a lowrdose and gradually increase your dose.
Follow’ your doctor’s instructions carefully.
The maximum recommended dose is 400 milligrams per day.
If you are older than 75 years, the maximum recommended dose is 300 milligrams per day.
Do not increase your dose, take the medication more frequently, or take it for a longer time than prescribed.
Properly stop the medication w’hen so directed.
